After the orientation dinner (which was not very veggie friendly), a few of us went out for one last night out in Busan, didn't do anything special but just grabbed a bite to eat. At the dinner we got to meet everyone from the orientation and it was our last chance to say goodbye to our class teachers; tomorrow we were going to say hello to our co-teachers.
Once we arrived in Daegu, we sat in an auditorium where our teachers were waiting. Then our names were called in matching pairs and we met with our co-teachers. My co-teacher immediately took me to my apartment and I also met my landlord. After that, we took a walk to my school and I got to meet other staff members, such as my principal.
On first impression I really like my school. It is the only school in Daegu with a woman's soccer team. Some of our soccer players play on the Under 19 National Team. The school is fairly big and it has a very nice soccer pitch with artificial turf.
I have enjoyed my first few days in Daegu. I am a vegetarian (although if I am limited, I will also eat chicken) so things are a little more difficult when it comes to food but my co-teacher and landlord did everything to make sure I had a comfortable transition. My co-teacher made his wife cook me some veggie food, and my landlord also cooked some veggie food and brought it for me.
I've been fairly busy but I'll try to write when I get the chance...
